FG, States, others share N2.257trn April 2026 revenue

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total sum of ₦2.257 trillion as revenue for April 2026 among Nigeria’s three tiers of government.

Federal Government received ₦787.351 billion
State Governments received ₦772.360 billion
Local Government Councils received ₦540.152 billion
Derivation Revenue (Oil-producing states) received ₦157.254 billion (representing 13% of mineral revenue)
Revenue Components According to the communiqué released by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, the available gross revenue for April 2026 stood at ₦3.184 trillion.

Deductions for the cost of revenue collection amounted to ₦113.756 billion, while total transfers, refunds, and savings accounted for ₦813.839 billion.

The remaining pool of ₦2.257 trillion was drawn from three major sources:
Distributable Statutory Revenue: ₦1.260 trillion
Distributable Value Added Tax (VAT): ₦747.088 billion
Augmentation: ₦250 billion
Sector Inflows Major tax streams performed as follows during the month under review:
Increases: Companies Income Tax (CIT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Stamp Duty, Import Duty, Oil and Gas Royalties, and Value Added Tax (VAT) recorded significant increases.
Decreases: Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) and Hydrocarbon Tax dropped considerably, while Excise Duty saw a marginal decline
