The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has criticised the actions of her predecessor, Mudashiru Obasa, who appeared at the Assembly on Thursday and claimed that he remains the Speaker. She slammed Obasa while speaking to reporters on Thursday at the Lagos State High Court, where the latter had filed a petition challenging his removal. She said: “I think to me that was just a show of shame because in our job we have numbers that form quorum, so if you are sitting with three or four members, you are only doing theatre.”
