Nigeria Advocates for Climate Change Solutions at CHOGM 2024

Nigeria delegation led by the Honourable Minister of Environment, Alhaji Balarabe Lawal at this year’s CHOGM 2024 event called on world leaders for climate change solution which is affecting Nigeria.
Honourable Minister of Environment Highlights the Severe Effects of Global Disasters Affirms Commitment to Commonwealth Reforms Nigeria has urged for immediate and robust actions against the devastating effects of climate change, recognizing it as a pressing global issue. The country reiterated its dedication to democracy, civil rights, and institutional reforms within the Commonwealth, focusing on effective value creation.
These priorities were presented at the recent Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Apia, Samoa, from October 21-26. The Nigerian delegation was led by Environment HM Alhaji Balarabe Lawal, who emphasized Nigeria’s experiences with climate-related challenges
