Today, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio will be presenting the results of Edo State governorship election to President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock.
It will be recalled that Monday Akpobolo, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Candidates, was declared by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as the winner of the keenly contested governorship election in Edo Statre on Saturday.
While APC, is celebrating victory, opposition candidates are lamenting, claiming irregularities mars the election.
“We must not be discouraged. The illusory triumph of evil over good is only temporary,” Mr Ighodalo said. “Our journey towards a prosperous Edo State does not end here; it is just beginning.” says Ighodalo, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate that lost.
“What transpired in Edo was not an election but a bidding war for votes” says Olumide Akpata, LP Candidate.
