FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, was captured in a video praising God after the Supreme Court’s ruling, which nullified the recent local government elections in Rivers State and upheld the legitimacy of the 27-member Martin Amaewhule-led State Assembly.
Speaking in Abuja after the judgment on Friday, Wike declared that the apex court’s decision has effectively ended the reign of crisis in Rivers State.
The Supreme Court’s verdict marks a significant turn in the power struggle within Rivers State, which has been embroiled in a leadership tussle following disagreements over the control of the state legislature and local government administration.
