Tinubu departs Lagos for Ghana’s President-elect, Mahama’s inauguration

President Bola Tinubu has departed Lagos for Accra, Ghana, to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.

The inauguration is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, January 7.

Mahama who previously served as Ghana’s 12th President from 2011 to 2017, returned to office in an election in December 2024.

Tinubu’s departure from Nigeria was made known via a video shared by NTA, on Monday, January 6.

The caption reads: “President Tinubu departs Lagos for Accra to attend the inauguration of President-elect, John Mahama.”
