As at yesterday, Sunday, January 12, 2025 investigations by The National Press Newspaper indicates that telecommunications operator in Nigeria has increased tarriffs by 100 percent against the last week’s assurance by Communications Minister Mr. Bosun Tijani that ‘tariffs will be increase, but not up to 100%’.
Sources revealed that a data card that was purchase by customer of one of the telecommunications in Nigeria of N500 which was initially last for two hours got finished within one hour.
According to our source, “I brought N500 recharge card from Globacomm around 6.45 p.m on Sunday, I got message of data expired the same Sunday around 7.55 p.m. Formally, this same data used to last for two to three hours but got finished betweenb one hour.”
For further clarifications the source said: “my number ends with 653,” the sources said. In a related development, another source said: “I am a core MTN customer because of the network service in my area, I brought N1,000 recharge card at around 9.30 p.m on Sunday, 12th January, 2025, I got message of expired data around 10.45 p.m of same Sunday,”
