Police block protesters from accessing Lagos Assembly complex

Operatives of the Nigeria police force have beefed up security at the Lagos assembly complex.

The security presence is to prevent protesters from accessing the State Assembly Complex.

The police had earlier warned that it would not take kindly to a protest it described as ‘potential unrest or confrontation’.

Force Headquarters on Sunday through a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi described the action as that of “subversive elements” acting on the pretense of economic hardship.
