In a Certified True Copy, CTC, of a judgement delivered by Justice Mohammed Garba and six others on May 11, 2024 the Supreme Court of Nigeria, the highest court in the country, in a landslide judgement on local government autonomy, ordered that the four year tenure enjoyed by the state executives be extended to the offices of all the local government chairmen and councillors across the country.
